Joining the Marines as 0311 (0300) and then switching later?

I took the asvab test a week ago and am going to MEPS next week. I'm 25 years old with 6 years of experience in the IT field. I also scored 70 on the asvab. Was just curious if it was possible to join as a 0311 and down the road if it wasn't for me I could switch to electrical maintenance or a comm job? Or would one of those jobs be better for me to start out as if available due to the schooling and opportunities after the marines? I am joining to experience more out of life/serve my country and have always thought to be an infantryman since I was young.
