I have a question about validating windows?

my laptop says i may be a victim of software counterfeiting. that i need to validate windows. but when i click the link there is nothing there it wont load. my dad erased my administrator login and pword im not sure if that has to do with it. also i can get on certain websites like applications for instince. pop ups wont pop up it says i need to do that active x contol thing but the bar at the top ur suppose to click doesnt show up. and also i turned on the po ups and nothign happens. please help me
