Synthroid needs to be taken on a daily basis. You shouldn't have stopped it so abruptly. Your doctor is titrating you up to the appropriate dosage. They start with a low dosage and work up to a larger dose. This is recommended as to not shock your metabolism so quickly which can cause problems.
