Canon vs nikon dilemma - Change brands or not?

I photographed a concert in a church recently, I was certainly glad to have a high aperture (f2.8) 35 to 70 zoom and a 135mm f2.8 prime. Even then, working at ISO 800, I was using 1/20th to 1/60th second.
